30 members and friends joined the AHK asparagus dinner last night at the Paulaner. In “white” we enjoyed traditional German food and had a lot of fun together. Marvelous asparagus, grown in China, prepared very classy 'German style' with potatoes and sauce hollandaise. New event formats like this will follow at the German Chamber. For us from Starke, it’s always a pleasure to organize and to contribute for the good of the German community in Beijing.

Last week, the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation (KAS) organized a joint exchange with the member of the German Parliament Nicolas Zippelius, spokesman and chairman of the working groups Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as China rapporteur of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. It was a pleasure for Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht to report about the current situation in China and the Chinese economy, which hopefully will also invent hearing in Germany.

During the second week of March, the management of the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Nord China), together with board member Daniel Albrecht , visited member companies in Shenyang and participated in a meeting of the local chamber's advisory board. It was not only gratifying to meet numerous company representatives in the north and gain insights into the local situation, but also to learn a great deal about the production processes.
