Last week, the Konrad-Adenauer Foundation (KAS) organized a joint exchange with the member of the German Parliament Nicolas Zippelius, spokesman and chairman of the working groups Economic Cooperation and Development, as well as China rapporteur of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. It was a pleasure for Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht to report about the current situation in China and the Chinese economy, which hopefully will also invent hearing in Germany.

German company representatives met the Chair of Delegation and relations with the PRC, European Parliament member Mr. Engin Eroglu. It was a great and lively exchange about several actual economic topics and political questions what need to be discussed bilateral. Finally a German politician visited China, who is really interesting in economic topics and is obvious down to earth. The dinner meeting was organized by the AHK. A delegation from Thuringia, leading by the minister of economics Mrs. Boos-John (CDU), visited Beijing to promote Thuringia's business location and to manage cooperations with Chinese companies and institutions. This year the German National Day celebration was hosted under a special topic, 35 years of the German reunion.
