The Cybersecurity Law of the People’s Republic of China was issued on November 7, 2016, and officially put into effect June 1, 2017. The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has released supportive measures to implement provisions of the Cybersecurity Law . These Draft Measures provide guidelines for cross-border transfer of data, data security assessments, and the protection of data in relation to national and public interest.

Legal situation with fake products - Which penalties threaten counterfeiters, interview i the Germen televison MDR

4th International Conference “Protection of Intellectual Property Rights"in Moscow

The 4th International Conference “Protection of Intellectual Property Rights” took place at the World Trade Center in Moscow on October 17-18, 2019.

Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht delivered a speech about the Trademark Reform 2019 in China .

About 180 attorneys and IP professional from Russia, Belarus, Italy, Germany, and the US took part at this well organized event. We learned a lot about the new IP trends in Russia and Europe and are happy to take part next year again.

Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht was appointed for 2 years as a member of INTA 's Anticounterfeiting Committee. The committee will monitor developments in treaties, legislation, regulations and other enforcement mechanisms in various jurisdictions, complete analyses and propose policy recommendations to the Board. Work includes report and submission writing, interaction with anticounterfeiting organizations and advocacy in conjunction with relevant INTA committees and staff.

Blue World Day in Munich

On October 2nd and 3rd 2019 the Blue World Day took place in Munich. The organizer was our Frankfurt partner law firm BLUEDEX .

This year over 50 participants from all over Europe, the USA and Tunisia participated.

During the event, there were various lectures with different national focuses. Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht referred about China. The lecture should provide an overview of all legal innovations of the last two years.

Starke attended the Marques 2019 Annual Conference

Starke Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht attended the Marques 2019 Annual Conference that took place in Dublin last week. Over 800 attorneys and trademark attorneys took part at this conference. The meeting focused on changes in technology and the effect on IP, but in fact the hottest topic was the Geographical Indication Protection (GI).
