On Monday December 16, 2024, Daniel Albrecht had the pleasure to take part at a panel discussion about institutional arbitration. Host was the Konrad Adenauer foundation (KAS). The second roundtable about arbitration in China was a great success and the participents had a fruitful discussion from different perspectives.
The event was divided into two topic blocks:
1. Advantages and disadvantages of investment protection agreements and economic effects of investment protection (key speaker: Dr. Reinmar Wolff, VP of the DIS and lecturer at the University of Marburg)
2. the new rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and new challenges (key speaker: Prof. Dr. Knieper, Emeritus of the University of Bremen)
