Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s (AIIB) Annual Meeting 2019 in Luxembourg

On July 12-13, 2019 Luxembourg hosted the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s (AIIB) first Annual Meeting outside of Asia.
The theme of the 2019 Annual Meeting was “Cooperation and Connectivity” in recognition of the economic and social benefits to be realized through better connectivity within and between countries and regions, including Europe and Asia.
The 2019 Annual Meeting brought together AIIB’s Governors and Directors to engage with delegations from members, prospective members, partner institutions, business leaders, civil society and experts from a range of fields. The dialogue focused on how cooperation and strategic investments in sustainable infrastructure can contribute to deeper integration and stronger economic growth via enhanced and strengthened connectivity.

Speakers of honor were the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Singapore, the Financial Minister of Luxembourg and Egypt and the Duke of Luxembourg. About 1500 guests from all over the world joined this two days conference, also our Managing Counsel Daniel Albrecht.
