The Art of E-commerce: Your way into China

Switzerland Chamber of Commerce, SwissCham Beijing, together with the Israel Chamber of Commerce, IsCham, hosted a seminar with the title The Art of E-commerce: Your way into China on October 26th at IBCC- Israeli Business and Cultural Center at 798.

This multi-national gathering of experts presented this topic with various perspectives. Four speakers discussed the topic based on their expertise in the field, allowing attendees to better understand the different providers on the market and the 3rd party providers as well as learn about the legal aspects of the field and gain first-hand knowledge from an SME. Following the speakers, there was a question-and-answer session, where attendees could find out all there is to know about E-Commerce in China.

Mr. Daniel Albrecht, Managing Counsel at Starke

Topic: How to protect your IPR on the Chinese E-Commerce Market?

Daniel Albrecht is a German attorney at law and Managing Counsel of Starke. Besides Daniel works as a Guest Professor for civil law at the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing and is also external expert or the EU China IPR SME Helpdesk and member of the board of the German Chamber of Commerce in North China. He published several articles about Chinese IPR and E-Commerce matters.

 

Mr. David Wang, CEO of KingNature

Topic: E-commerce features to attract the younger generation and the challenges you face as a ‘food’ provider in e-commerce in China.

Mr. Yoav Sadan, BD Manager at Up2china

Topic: E-commerce solutions and differences for foreign companies- what should I know before running a Chinese e-commerce store? The B2CC (business to Chinese consumer) model

Yoav is currently the Beijing business development manager at up2china.com. before that he was the sales manager for a web solution startup that was later bought by wix. Yoav is currently finishing his degree at the Hebrew university, while also managing a personal blog called Mushu, covering Israeli startups viable in the Chinese market.


Mr. Robbert Görris, Business Development Manager at Sovereign group

Topic: How to be successful in E-commerce in China?

At Sovereign China Robbert works with companies and provide them with experience in market entry strategy for China. He provides them with his knowledge of the Chinese market gains during his 8 years in China working with SME’s who wanted to enter China. Before joining Sovereign Robbert was General Manager at the Belgium, Netherlands Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Beijing (BenCham). During his time with BenCham, he was involved in many business delegations visiting China from a diverse range of industries. During his time at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, he held different board positions. He was board member of the EU SME Centre in Beijing and of the accreditation board of Belgium Luxembourg Chambers of Commerce abroad based in Brussels.
